His breakthrough though came when he was invited to perform at the Dynamiks Awards 2007. “After performing, I received a standing ovation. it was massive, I would never forget. I say a big thank you to Tunde (Publisher of Dynamiks Magazine) for the opportunity”. Unknown to him, amongst the crowd were Femi Amusan (biggest Nigerian presenter on BEN TV), Black nights Entertainment (biggest promoters of entertainment in the U.K owned by a Nigerian). They urged him to come perform in the U.K. From then on it got better. “I performed alongside Konga, Tuface, Danfo Drivers, Basket Mouth e.t.c at the Nigerian Independence Jam 2007”.
ACHIEVEMENTSHe won the Naija vs. Jamaica comedy competition along side another Nigerian named Babatunde. They inspired me a lot, it’s one of the best places to be in, people have to understand that .There is always a strong urge to come back, despite the bad roads, lack of electricity e.t.c, there are so many good things and people have to appreciate them, think about those representing Nigeria abroad, like Dele Momodu, Nwankwo Kanu, Chief Alistair Soyode (BEN TV C.E.O,.. one of the most populous black TV station in the U.K), e.t.c,.”

This track was on YQ’s 2010 album “I Am YQ” but it was never really promoted due to its sensitive nature.

F-SHAW

Olufemi Adeyemi (born October 30th) who performs under the name F.shaw is a Nigerian Musician/Rapper/Songwriter. The third child of middle working class parents, he was born and raised in Ipaja, Lagos City.
F.shaw harboured child-hood ambitions of becoming a Petrochemical Engineer or joining the Army but these fizzled out as he developed a keen interest in music and break dancing. He was surrounded by tons of vinyl from the likes of Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, ABBA, to Michael Jackson, The Commodores and many more as his father was a lover of country, soul and pop music.
F.shaw’s primary education was at St. Mary’s Private School Broad Street Lagos. He graduated from King’s College Lagos in 2001 and then went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Science graduating in 2006 from Covenant University.
F.shaw became interested in Rap music in 2004 and started out by writing down and reciting his favourite rappers’ lines. He was/is a friend with K-Switch of the Mo’Hits who was already rapping at the time and they used to exchange raps on paper in class. One of the few songs that was recorded earlier was titled Bounce, which featured F.shaw, K-switch and T.I.B and produced by Dr. Frabz who was up and coming at the time as they were all in the same school. F.shaw had a hard time putting down lyrics till he got much needed advice and encouragement from a friend who advised him to strive harder and be more imaginative with his writing. F.shaw took rapping seriously in 2005 and hooked up with fellow rapper and producer Spellz and together they recorded a song titled Get Low which was first spun by DJ Humility on 93.7 fm and later got moderate airplay on Star fm 101.5
He met director and screenwriter Oliver Aleogena later in 2005 who showed him the inner workings of the industry and drilled him to become content conscious and a better lyricist in terms of quality and style.
F.shaw re-united with former high school mate turned renowned producer Cobahms Asuquo through Oliver Aleogena and together they produced what would become one of F.shaw’s critically acclaimed records titled Let It Go; for it content and newness of sound. The song was released late 2007 and received massive airplay from radio stations in Lagos and Abuja. Not satisfied with the progress of his career, F.shaw took matters into his own hands and released a 5-track EP in 2008 titled Avant-Garde printing a thousand copies of the EP, selling some and giving the rest away for free. The EP contained the singles Let It Go, Moonlight Serenade (produced by Tee-y Mix). This helped push his name to a broader audience.
F.shaw is influenced by the music of Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dolly Parton, Fela, Nas, Tupac, Eminem, Jadakiss, Jay-Z amongst others.
F.shaw took part in the MTVBASE reality show ADVANCE WARNING alongside 25 other upcoming Nigerian artistes in 2008. He performed at the “Can U?” concert in Abuja early 2008 which had Timaya as the headlining act.
F.shaw also performed in South Africa on the 29th of august 2008 for the show "West Africa Tour" which had D’banj and the Mo’Hits crew as the headliners alongside Omawumi of West-Africa Idols and other South-African artistes such as MXO and Bongo Maffin. He also performed at the launch of Etisalat’s mobile stages early 2009.
F.shaw released a third official single titled “My Everything (Aya Mi)” in April 2009. He was brutally stabbed multiple times by armed robbers shortly after that and this halted the promotion of the record. F.shaw went off the music scene and spent time away with family recovering. He then proceeded to take time out and pursue a Masters degree, which he has completed.
F.shaw is currently working on his debut album which he’ll be releasing under his imprint “ROYAL STATUS” and he also released a video for Moonlight Serenade on the 23rd of November 2010.
F.shaw’s style and sound is reminiscent of the vintage era. His music sounds like everything but yet doesn’t sound like anything. Revered for his content, F.shaw is known for his storytelling ability and his lyrics revolve around life, love, hope, personal experiences and many times plain.   TO DOWNLOAD MOONLIGHT SERENADE     http://goo.gl/95Q8  AND AYA MI http://bit.ly/e8JCG0

beyonce Hires 200 African Dancers

beyonce Hires 200 African Dancers For New “Girl” Video
If you are waiting for a little Beyonce scoop to hold you over until she decides to drop some new music, than look no further. Beyonce flew 200 African Dancers to LA over the weekend to take part in a mind-blowing dance sequence in her upcoming video titled “Girl”. The single is rumored to be released some time this week.A poster on Beyonce’s fan site, dished the dirt on what took place at a cattle call for the video earlier today,My friend got there and there were like 200 or more people in the room. A lot of Bey’s old dancers and probably every major dancer and choreographer you could think of. The song is called “Girl”. The video is being directed by Francis Lawrence. He was also there. 8 or 9 choreographers contributed to the routine. Danielle Polanco and Luam were 2 of those choreographers. Beyonce was there of course going over the routine and they were figuring outwhich pieces of the choreography they would be showcasing in the music video. The theme of “Girl” is like a female empowerment/girl power type of song that is a definite club banger with Top 40/Worldly appeal. The beat is driven by a sample of a popular club song that a lot of you will probably recognize. There’s a breakdown in the song that is described as absolutely fucking disgustingly sick! Definitely an anthem in the style of her singing. My friend couldn’t remember exact lyrics, but “Girl…girl….girl” is repeated a lot through out the song. More on the choreography. No males will be dancing except these 2 African men that do this sick solo African intro with footwork at the top of the routine. There may be more, but at the meeting today only those 2 men were dancing. One of the choreographers was an African guy from an African dance company. Bey will have an army of like 100 or more girls. 20 of them will be doing the choreography with her and there will be like 100 of them behind her carrying sticks and marching. Men will be used as props and actors with the girls coming all in their faces and intimidating them. Again, the concept wasn’t revealed so that’s just connecting the dots with the choreography and small information that was given. It definitely looks like Bey will have an army or lesion of girls for one of the scenes that is presumably being shot on the 13th. Expect a full out dance number with lots of choreography.
